The Social Sports Club in Lafia has as a result of hardship and suffering in Nigeria donated assorted food items and toiletries to the Hobo Orphanage Home located in the Bukan Sidi area of Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

The donation, led by the Chairman of the club, Abdulquadri Idirisu, a consultant at the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lafia, was part of the group’s commitment to giving back to society and supporting vulnerable children.

Items donated include bags of rice, gari, cartons of noodles, toiletries, and several other household essentials aimed at improving the welfare of the children at the orphanage.

Idirisu, while speaking during the presentation, said the gesture was borne out of the club’s desire to extend love and care to those in need, particularly orphans who require collective societal support.

“We believe that our little efforts can go a long way in putting smiles on the faces of these children,” he said. “As a club made up of members from diverse backgrounds and professions, we are united by the common goal of service to humanity.”

He added that the club would continue to support initiatives that uplift the less privileged, while encouraging other organizations and individuals to emulate the gesture.

“This donation is timely and deeply appreciated. It gives us hope to know that people out there care about the welfare of these children,” Mrs. Embugadu said.
