Senator Abbo, wife weep over death of traditional musician in Bauchi

The former senator of the Adamawa North Senatorial District, Ishaku Elisha Abbo and his wife, Patience on Friday shed tears.
Abbo and wife was shedding the tears during the funeral service of the best traditional musician, late John Sama’ila Zuya, held at Zuya Village in Tafawa-Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The Senator described the lost of the legendary as the biggest one not to the family, Zaar land, Bauchi State alone but Nigeria as a whole.
Abbo urged the people of Zaar land and Bauchi State to foster unity and love collective growth.
On his part, the former speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and the member representing Pankshin North Constituency, Dewan K. Gabriel said that “Even though while alive ,we never met physically ,but i was his admirer because of his God given talent”

Dewan described the late John Zuya as a “true cultural ambassador whose music preserved and promoted the rich heritage of the Zaar Nation and Northern Nigeria at large.”
The former speaker, Dewan empowered three widows of late Zuya with business grants, also awarded a scholarship to one of his son to assist in the family’s welfare and education.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting creative talents and preserving cultural values, adding that the legacy of Late John Zuya will continue to live on in the hearts of the people.
While the delegation of the senator and the speaker paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Gung Zaar of Zaar Chiefdom, retired brigadier general Marcus KokoYake, in his Tafawa-Balewa palace.
They offered prayers to the new king for God wisdom, knowledge, strength, protection and more years ahead for the development of Zaar Chiefdom, Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
Abbo thanked Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of the State for heeding to the cry of Zaar nation for their own Chief like other nations around them.
The former senator said that the creation of Zaar chiefdom will be bring stability, discipline and unity not only among the great Sayawa people but also unity among all people living in and around those areas.
