Bauchi: ‘I’ve forgiven killer of my Son – father of 27yrs- Old boy reveals

Lazarus Buba, the father of the 27 year old man, Rotji Lazarus who was hit by a runaway driver at night, resulting in his untimely death 24 hours to his planned journey to Benin Republic for work, on Monday said that he has forgiven the driver.
Recall that Late Rotji Lazarus was killed around POWA shops, Yelwa police training school, Bauchi State by a yet to be identified reckless motorist who drove at night without headlights.
The message of planting forgiveness was made known in an exclusive interview with the father at his Sabon Kaura residence of Bauchi Local Government Area of the state.
Lazarus who explained that he has nothing to do with the issue again because he is sure that the soul of his son is in the hands of God, emphasized that “my son, Late Rotji Lazarus told me that he’s going to POWA shops to inform his friends that the next day he will be leaving Nigeria for Benin Republic to start work there, then I gave him money to buy us bread and the next thing I had is, “a car knocked down my son”.
“We went to the scene and we rushed him to the Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBU-TH) but the doctor on duty announced to us that Rotji is dead”, the bereaved father said.

He added that the most worrisome thing is that the driver that killed his son ran away.
“But I forgive the driver. It’s God that designed that my son will die that day, so I am pained but there’s nothing to worry about”, he said .
According to the father, the driver that killed his son when crossing to another lane in order to come back home after saying goodbye to his friends, the driver didn’t have a light.
The deceased father said that even if they arrested the driver he has nothing to do with him because it’s not the drivers intentioto knocked the boy to death “
“We didn’t getting easy because we have trained him from ND, HND, PGD with the expectation that he will help us and the whole family but something came up like this, on behalf of the family we leave everything to the Almighty God”
“In 70s and 80s Vehicles Inspection Officers (VIO) will be checking all the movement of vehicles, if found any car without light they will not and never allow that car to move again until the driver fixed the lights, then they released the car to go”
The father of the deceased, Mr. Lazarus Buba advised personnel on vehicles to continue monitoring the movement of all the cars driving in the night without light in order to be minimized in the country.
