The Ebonyi state commandant of NSCDC, Mr. Francis Nnadi, who spoke to newsmen in Abakaliki through the Command’s PRO,  AscI Emmanuella Ibeneme, said the suspects will be arraigned in court after full investigation on the matter.

“We have two suspects that we want to parade. The first one is a case of child trafficking and illegal adoption. She’s a woman. Her name is Susan Nweze Nwanneka from Uburu community in the Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi State.”And she is a single mother of two that gave birth to a baby boy.

According to the preliminary voluntary submission that she made, she stated that she was abducted from Afikpo, down to the police clinic, where she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy.

“After which she was paid 700,000 Naira. And we have also made our own investigations. And she would be handed over to the National Agency for the prohibition of trafficking in persons, NAPTP. An agency that has the mandate to prosecute further on that.
