NAAPS boss, Okwu vows to entrench transparency, accountability in C’River

The new leadership of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAAPS),in Cross River State, led by Godwin Okwu has vowed to entrench transparency and accountability in order to take NAAPS to higher heights in the state.
The association, however urged the governor of Cross River, Bassey Otu to assist the teachers association with a befitting Secretariat to enable them assist in the development of the educational sector in the state.
He made this known while addressing the Stakeholders of the state during the Inauguration of her new executive led by Mr. Godwin Okwu, on Tuesday in Calabar.
Speaking on behalf of the NAAPS Stakeholders, Mike Abolade, stated that with a befitting Secretariat, the leadership of the association would be in a proper position to initiate ideas that can contribute meaningfully towards the development of the educational sector.
In his post Inauguration speech, NAAPS chairman, Cross River State, Godwin Okwu, assured that he will lead with wisdom, transparency and accountability in order to take NAAPS to higher heights.
“I want your support, with your support the sky is our limit. Let’s work as a team, as a team we can add our quota towards transformation of the state.
Giving insight about what NAAPS under his watch will do, Okwu said, “My team and I have strong plans to reposition the NAAPS, and put the association in the right perspective.
“An association cannot be run without a Secretariat. We are going to partner the state government in the development of the sector.
“There should be a genuine partnership with the state government if we are to move forward.”. Okwu maintained.
