‘Maintain your tenacity, winning spirit to defeat Ghana – Ex-LP Presidential Candidate, Obi tells Falconets
The former Presidential Candidate of the labour Party, LP, Peter Obi on Thursday urged the Nigeria’s U-20 female football team, the Falconets, to be confident of defeating the host nation, Ghana, in the ongoing 13th African Games finals.
Obi made this known while reacting to the performances of the Nigeria’s U-20 female football team, at the ongoing 13th African Games.
According to him: “I congratulate Nigeria’s U-20 female football team, the Falconets, for their impressive performance so far at the ongoing 13th African Games in Ghana.
“Our dear U-20 female team has maintained very exceptional outings throughout the tournament.
“As they set out to take on the host nation and our African neighbours – Ghana, in the finals, I encourage them to hold on to their tenacity and winning spirit. Nigerians are solidly behind them, and I urge them to maintain their confidence and energy level.
“We need them to bring home the victory and the trophy. In the New Nigeria, we will continue to nurture and support the many talents and skills of our Nigerian youths as they continue to excel on the global stage” he stated.
