The former minister of state for health, Fidelis Nwankwo on Friday insisted that the Presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Party, NDC, Peter Obi will win the forthcoming 2027 general election.

He vowed that Obi’s victory in the forthcoming general election can never be taken away again as allegedly was done in the last 2023 election.

The former council chairman of Izzi local government area, revealed that Nigerian youths and women, who are hungry due to bad governance in the country, will vote and protect their votes.

Nwankwo, a chieftain of NDC in Ebonyi State made this known while briefing newsmen during the conduct of the party’s primary election that took place in the thirteen LGAs of the state.

According to him: “What we are doing today is to organize primary elections. To pick candidates who will contest various positions. Starting from the President, Governor, Senate, House of Representatives among others.

He revealed the preparedness of NDC to win elections in the state, “The way our party is preparing to win elections. We are relatively a new party. And I think we are enjoying unusual and massive support from Nigerians.

“Nigerians are seeing NDC as a party that has come to save them. So, they see the party as a party that has come to protect their own country.

“So, it is the candor of the person (Peter Obi) who is the presidential candidate to be on the party. He represents the whole Nigeria. So, our party is not only a party. Our party is a nice and humane party.

“The country is yearning for good leadership. As I said, the man (Peter Obi) at the top of the leadership pyramid, is the man that will save the country and it’s citizens.

“They feel that he (Peter Obi) was robbed in 2023.And this time around, youths, which some of you represent, they have vowed that that mistake cannot be repeated. They will vote and get their votes. And maybe their votes will count” he stated.
