Gov. Bala averts excessive flooding in Dagu Community, constructs culverts

The governor of Bauchi state, Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir at the weekend was applauded for averting excessive flooding and loss of lives and valuable properties in the area.

One of the residents of the community, Zubairu Muhammad made this known while speaking with journalists during a facility tour in the community. 

He applauded the governor for constructing culverts with the aims of averting dangerous flooding in the council area.

Muhammad said that they have not been finding it easy during the rainy season, except this year that they didn’t record any flooding again. 

He further said that before during the rainy season if they want to cross to neighboring communities, they must make sure that they are in a group to hold each other before crossing.

He said that “If not because of the culvert’s construction, their community would have been flush out by the heavy rainfall. 

Adding that it’s because of the construction of the culvert that makes everything go smoothly. 

Muhammad expressed their appreciation to Governor Bala for coming to their aid and constructed them with a good culvert which really stopped erosion in the community.

He also begged the state governor to construct more culverts in other floods to stop coming close to their houses.

In his part, the district head of Warji, Ibrahim Isma’il appreciated governor Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir for organizing a facility tour to checkmate all government projects across the 20 local government areas that formed the state. 

The district head said that they will not and never forget the good work of human and infrastructural development that the governor placed in Ningi local government.
