Gov Bala orders appointees vying for elective positions to resign April 24

Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State, has ordered all political appointees who have the intention of contesting any elective position in the forthcoming primary election to resign before April 24, 2026.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the governor’s special adviser media and publicity, Mukhtar Gidado and made available to journalists in Bauchi.

He said that the directive is in line with statutory requirements governing the participation of public office holders in electoral processes and is aimed at ensuring full compliance with the law.
Bala Mohammed expressed his appreciation to the affected appointees for their service and contributions to the development of Bauchi State, also wishes them success in their future endeavours.
Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of the state also directed the affected appointees to hand over all government property in their possession, as well as the responsibilities of their offices, to the appropriate person within their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
