Bauchi works Commissioner tasks contractors on quality jobs, timely delivery

The Bauchi State Commissioner of Works and Transport, Titus Saul Ketkukah on Friday tasked contractors to deliver quality jobs and keep to the time frame.

Titus Saul Ketkukah made this known to newsmen in Bauchi shortly after inspecting the ongoing construction of the Magistrate Court Complex (High Court) and the apartments with 18 rooms at the 33 Artillery Brigade Command, Bauchi.

He said that the construction of the Magistrate Court Complex comprising 12 Court offices and each court have 3 offices which is the judge office, registrar and the supporting staff office. Urged the contractors to provide quality work. 

While the renovation of the 18 Apartments in 33 Artillery Brigade Command, comprising the corporal and below quarters, Non-Commission officers quarters, married officers officers and single officers quarters all in 33 Artillery Brigade Command.

The commissioner expressed his appreciation to Governor Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir for approving the construction works. 

On his part, the contractor Mohammed Bahir said the construction of the Magistrate Court Complex was completed in 2011 but due to some challenges the construction stopped.

Bashir said when Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir came to power, he reviewed the construct and  awarded it again.

Bashir said that since the Governor approved the contract, they have not and never requested anything that the State government didn’t give them.

He said that the State government has provided everything for the construction of the Magistrate Court Complex.

“We have thousand of thanks to governor Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir because since we started this project, any request of our payment has never been delayed, so we much appreciated him for awarding the contract and providing everything for the construction” 

The Director of the BS Multi Project Company, Mohammed Bashir assured the good people of Bauchi State that by God’s grace the construction of the Magistrate Court Complex will be completed before December this year.
