50 days in office: Ikwo DC boss, Nwoba rated high in infrastructural dev, Human empowerment

The Coordinator of Ikwo Development Center, Onyekachi Nwoba popularly known as Bone, has been rated high in the area of infrastructural development and Human empowerment within fifty days in office.

Recall that, Nwoba was sworn in as the development centre coordinator of Ikwo DC, by the Ebonyi state governor, Francis Nwifuru on 15th of January, 2024.

The Nations News Nigeria reports that, Nwoba within fifty days in office, had embarked on construction of numerous projects, which according to reports, had made him to be an outstanding coordinator, among other sixty three coordinators that was sworn in same day by the governor, Francis Nwifuru.

It would be recalled that, Nwoba during his inaugural speech, had promised to revamp the Ikwo development centre which had remained moribund for some years, before his assumption of office.

Nwoba, made it clear that the governor of Ebonyi state, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, through his Peoples Charter of Needs agenda, has put Ebonyians on the part of prosperity.

He gave an assurance that he was ready to replicate the good governance of the governor at the Ikwo development centre level.

Investigation revealed that few days after assumption of office,  Nwoba sourced and released funds for immediate commencement of rehabilitation of the pipe borne hole in the development centre, which had not functioned for more than one year.

It was gathered that Nwoba has not only fixed the fault, but made the borne hole functional, and replaced the overhead tanks, installed water dispensing taps for easy supply of water to the DC and its environs.

The coordinator, Nwoba had in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Abakaliki capital of Ebonyi State,said he was poised to embark on the rehabilitation of the Ikwo development centre, to replicate the good works of the governor in the rural areas.

He said that his administration changed the ecstatic nature of the development centre headquarters by repainting and tilling of the building as well as fixing the dilapidated roofs and PVC ceiling sheets.

The coordinator, Nwoba equally revealed how his administration within fifty days strengthened the security architecture of the development centre by providing torch and other security gadgets to the security agencies in the area.
