The event took place yesterday at the Conference Hall of De 1st Crown Luxury Hotel, Lafia, with youth leaders, stakeholders, and friends of the Assembly in attendance.

It was a double event. After the swearing-in, the Assembly also announced the former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Musa Ahmed Muhammad, as its new State Patron.

Organisers said his choice was not accidental but a result of “his cognate legislative experience, commitment to youth development, and passion for nation building.”

National Speaker of YAN, Shuaibu Sani, applauded the inauguration and the appointment of the former Speaker.

Musa Ahmed Muhammad is a proven leader. His guidance and experience will no doubt strengthen this Assembly and help us achieve greater impact,” Sani declared.

State Speaker of YAN, Ovye Waki Abimiku, used the occasion to challenge the new Speakers to take their roles seriously.

“You are not here for titles. You are here to carry the voices of young people in your various LGAs.

“Your duty is to drive positive change, unity, and development across the state,” he charged.

Responding to his appointment, Musa Ahmed Muhammad thanked the Assembly for finding him worthy.
