Eld-El-Kabir: NSCDC warns criminals to vacate Ebonyi

The Nigeria security and civil defense corps, NSCDC, Ebonyi State command on Monday warned all criminal elements to vacate Ebonyi or risk arrest, especially as Muslims celebrate Eld-El-Kabir in the state.

The state commandant, Francis Nnadi, in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Abakaliki capital of Ebonyi State by the command’s public relations officer, PRO, DSC Emmanuella Ibeneme, said that over 600 Personnel were deployed to protect lives/ properties and national assets in the state.

He assured Muslims of a violent hitch free/ peaceful and secure Eid-El-Kabir celebration, as Personnel have been deployed to mosques, flashpoints and in all critical national assets in the state to prevent breakdown of laws and orders.

The statement reads in part: “Criminal elements must steer clear in Ebonyi state. NSCDC Ebonyi State command have deployed 600 personnel to ensure violent hitch free Eid-El-Kabir celebration in Ebonyi state.

The command under the pragmatic leadership of CC. Francis Nnadi has deployed 600 officers and men to mosques, flashpoints, and critical national assets to ensure a peaceful and secure Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

The commandant, Nnadi further noted that: “the deployment covers major prayer grounds, black spots, and other vulnerable areas across the state.

“There will be intensified patrols and surveillance ordered to forestall any security breach before, during and after the festival period.

Nnadi, however reaffirmed the commands commitment and readiness to the protection of lives, properties and all critical infrastructure.

He warned criminal elements to stay away from the state as the command remains fully prepared to deal decisively with any act capable of disrupting public peace.

The state commandant, Nnadi further called on the residents to remain law abiding and cooperate with security agencies in the state by providing useful information that Wii led to the arrest and prosecution of the criminals.

He, however felicitates with the  Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir and called on them to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, tolerance, love and peaceful co-existence which the festival symbolizes.
