Bauchi: Christians applaud Ex-Gov. Abubakar’s emergence as APC Guber candidate

The Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Christian Leaders Forum has applauded the emergence of former Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, as the party’s 2027 governorship candidate
The group noted that it reflects his political acceptability, leadership capacity, and the confidence reposed in him by stakeholders and the people of Bauchi State.
In a congratulatory statement signed by the Bauchi chapter coordinator, Apostle Daniel Yusuf Adamu, the forum said Abubakar’s selection was a recognition of his track record of service, experience, competence, and commitment to democratic governance.
“This victory confirms the trust reposed in him based on his record of service and dedication to the people,” the statement read.
The forum said its members held special prayers on Sept. 9 ahead of the announcement and thanked God for the outcome.
It also commended the national leadership of the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON) and Bauchi chapter members for their unity and support during the process.
The group also extended special appreciation to Aisha M. A. Abubakar for collaborating with it, and to Comrade Mbami I. Sabka for mobilising young leaders and stakeholders in support of the former governor.
2027: Group applauds Tinubu’s emergence as APC Presidential candidate
The forum praised APC elders and stakeholders across Bauchi for uniting behind Abubakar, noting that the consensus demonstrated the party’s structure, internal consultation, and progressive direction.
It cited Abubakar’s past record in governance, infrastructure development, and public service reforms as reasons he was well positioned to reposition the state and lead the APC to victory in 2027.
The forum also commended other aspirants for their maturity and sportsmanship, and urged all APC members to rally behind the consensus candidate to secure victory and deliver democratic dividends to the people.
It expressed confidence that the APC would prevail in 2027 and called for continued prayers and support for Abubakar as he prepares for the campaign.
