Archbishop, senator Binos task youths to be hard working, useful to the society

Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe representing Adamawa south senatorial zone in the national assembly has called on the youths of the state to unite and engage in useful activities that will benefit the society.

He made this known while addressing the people of the state during the 20-years memorial service to honor the life and legacy of late Jonah Wesley Eliel held in Adamawa state.

The Nations News Nigeria reports that the service was attended by prominent figures, including Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, who described the late Jonah as a brother and true friend.

During the service, the family announced plans to undertake significant projects in honor of the late Jonah’s legacy. 

These projects include the installation of 70 solar panels and the planting of 3,000 trees across Yandang communities in Adamawa and Taraba States. 

These initiatives were aimed at providing sustainable energy and promoting environmental conservation, reflecting the late Jonah’s commitment to making a positive impact on his community.

Senator Yaroe further emphasized the importance of emulating the late Jonah’s humility, down-to-earth nature, and hard work.

The Archbishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Most Rev. Musa Panti Filibus, who delivered a powerful message, highlighted the significance of leaving a good name. 

He stressed that a good name is more valuable than wealth and that it is earned through living a life of integrity and purpose.

Princess Elie Solomon, a sister to the late Jonah, however, underscored the late Jonah’s role as a pillar of support for his family and community.

Yilung Jonah Wesley Eliel, the son of the late Jonah, expressed gratitude to the dignitaries who attended the memorial service, including the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police and traditional rulers. 

He highlighted the family’s appreciation for the support and solidarity shown during this occasion.

The memorial service was a fitting tribute to the late Jonah’s life and legacy, celebrating his contributions to his community and the impact he had on those around him. 

The projects announced by the family will serve as a lasting testament to his commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
