Bakassi LG vows to re-elect Tinubu, Gov. Otu for 2nd term in office

Bakassi local government area of Cross River State has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Edet Otu yesterday for a second term

The event which took place at Ekpri Ikang, headquarters of the local government, had in attendance Mrs Florence Ita Giwa and retired AIG, Ene Ene Okon and other political heavyweight in the local government 

Speaking during the event, the chairman of the local government, .Effiong Etim Okon said president Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope programme is a key area that has touched positively on the people especially the on going construction of the Lagos – Calabar Coastal Highway 

He was also full of appreciation to the President for the South South Development Commission for his unwavering commitment to Regional growth and development and the designation of the State as an agro processing zone

The Council Chairman also stated that why they are supporting governor Bassey Otu for a second term, is for his deliberate, inclusive and transformational leadership style that has significantly impacted on the people of the local government.

Also speaking at the event was former Special Adviser to president Olusegun Obasanjo on National Assembly matters, Dame Florence Ita-Giwa stated that endorsing president Tinubu for a second term is the best thing to do so that he  can complete the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway which will beneficial to the people of the State 

She also stated that governor Bassey Otu has brought back peace to Bakassi that used to be turbulent, maintaining that his proactive security interventions have helped maintain calm and support economic activities in a once vulnerable region.
