FG rolls out short term security plan to curb insecurity in high risk States

The Federal government has rolled out a short term high tech security plan to curb rising insecurity in some identified high risk States in the Country.
The National security advisor, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who was represented by the National counter terrorism centre, Major General Adamu Garba Laka disclosed this in Minna.
Ribadu, formally presents the remaining 130 abducted Catholic school pupils and teachers to Governor Muhammad Umar Bago at Government house, Minna on Monday Evening.

The Federal government revealed that, the central government is determined to ensuring that, all Nigerians and communities are secured.
The national security advisor explained that under the short term security measure, the Federal government is to collaborate with State government, traditional rulers and religious groups to create what he called community based security network.
” We must not be causality to violence in this Country”
On how the remaining students, pupils and teachers were rescued, the nation’s top security officer said the department of State services played a key role along the Commander of 2nd Division of Nigeria Army who received guidance from the Chief of Army staff and the police to record the breakthrough.
” The sustained pressure of the State department played a key role in security the remaining 130 pupils and Teachers of Catholic school Papiri in Agwara Local government Area of Nigeria State.
He also acknowledged that some unarmed foreign partners played some role in the rescue exercise but did not elaborate.
Responding, Governor Muhammad Umar Bago described the rescuing as an unprecedented feat, and commended President Tinibu for the success of the exercise.
” I can’t imagine what this children has gone through, when we saw the first batch I was moved by their age, this one’s are even younger, we commend Mr. President for this unprecedented feat”
The st.mary Catholic School children in Papiri in Agwara Local government Area of Niger State were abducted on 21st of November,2025.
Fifty of the children managed to escape while, 100 were rescued in the first batch before the remaining 130 a figure that is still not adding up to the initial 315 abducted number issued by the school.
