EX- President Obasanjo Commissions 54.7km Roads In Bauchi

The former President Obasanjo Obasanjo commissioned the dualized 54.7km roads executed by the governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.

The road projects include the dualization of the 7km Awalah-Maiduguri Road, the 17.7km Awalah-Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Road, and the 30km Gubi-Gari Rudu Bida-Siyi-Nasarawa Link Road.

The commission program was held at the Giwo Science Academy opposite shadawanka barracks, Kano road in Bauchi state. Obasanjo said that the projects are a testament to the unwavering commitment to improving connectivity and infrastructure across Bauchi State.

Obasanjo however, applauded the transformative infrastructure initiatives of the governor, which he described as a model for other leaders to emulate in delivering the dividends of democracy to their people.

He said that the dualisation of the roads will make easy movement to the good people of Bauchi State. 

The former president, commended the efforts of the contractors for doing an excellent job during the construction of the roads.

He Urged the contractors to maintain the quality standard of their good job in terms of construction.

The former President, Obasanjo said that the people of Bauchi are very lucky to have a leader like their state governor, senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for bringing developmental projects in the state.

He urged them to support the administration of governor Bala in order to continue developing Bauchi state to a greater level.

Responding, governor Bala Mohammed  Abdulkadir said that “I am deeply honored by the commendation from the former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who recognized the strides we have made in advancing the development of our state”

He said that “We are making remarkable progress in the areas of education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, and security. Our focus remains on sustained growth and the continuous improvement of the well-being of the people of Bauchi.
