Bogoro LG boss partners NGO to offer free medical outreach to citizens

The Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State on Wednesday partnered Bishop Wakili Power Foundation to launch free medical outreach across the local government.
The local government chairman, surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi who spoke during the launch of the project at the Bogoro General Hospital said the free medical outreach will definitely bring relief to many families, reduce health burdens, and promote a healthier community.
Sumi expressed his appreciation to the foundation for the collaboration in order to provide free medical outreach to the good people of the local government.
The council boss, Surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi acknowledged the positive impact the initiative will have on the lives of many residents and encouraged other well-meaning individuals and organizations to support similar humanitarian efforts.
In his part, the coordinator of the Bishop Wakili Power foundation, Pharmacy Elisah Dokyoung said the project aims to provide essential healthcare services to residents, ensuring improved well-being for all, especially those with limited access to medical facilities.

The medical outreach includes general check-ups, treatment for common ailments, free eye check/glasses, dental surgery, and the distribution of essential medications.
According to the coordinator, Dokyoung said that “This partnership with Bogoro local government demonstrates the power of collaboration in addressing societal challenges”
He said that medical professionals and volunteers are working tirelessly to ensure that people receive quality of health service.
The coordinator of the Bishop Wakili Power Foundation, Pharmacy Elisha Dokyoung said that the Foundation remains dedicated to uplifting communities through healthcare, education, and empowerment programs.
