Bogoro LG Chairman, Sumi Warns BAROTA Officers On Corruption, Indiscipline

The chairman of Bogoro Local Government area, Yakubu Lawi Sumi
on Monday warned the personnel of the Bauchi Road Transport Agency (BAROTA) against corruption, indiscipline and abuse of power.
The chairman made this known while addressing the personnel in his Bogoro Secretariat office.
He said that such behaviors would not and never be tolerated by the administration of the State Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and also his own leadership.
Sumi said the deployment of the personnel will definitely reduce traffic and accidents.
He assured them of his administration’s commitment to collaborate closely for the effective delivery of traffic management and road safety services.
The council boss emphasized the importance of discipline, professionalism, and dedication to duty, urging the newly deployed traffic marshals to uphold the values in the execution of their responsibilities.
According to him said “BAROTA plays a critical role in addressing road transport challenges, enforcing traffic laws, ensuring public safety, and managing traffic flow not only within Bogoro but across Bauchi State,” the Chairman said.
“My administration is fully committed to supporting the agency with resources, infrastructure, and continuous training to maintain the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and compassion.”
He urged the newly deploys officers to the local government that they should uphold self respect, obey the laws of the land, and maintain dignity in the services they render.
The local government Chairman assured them his support and collaboration, particularly considering Bogoro’s strategic position bordering other local government areas.
Responding, the team commander of the BAROTA, ASP Yakubu Bulus, expressed his appreciation to the local government Chairman for his unwavering support and leadership.
The team commander promised that his people will work diligently to the development of Bogoro,Bauchi and Nigeria at large.
