C’River gov’s wife, Eyoanwan vows to  empower thousands  of women

The wife of Cross River State governor, Mrs Eyoanwan Otu has empowered women across the 18 local government areas of the state with food and cash gifts running into millions of Naira in celebration of the new year 

Mrs Otu at the event explained that this was necessary so as to help them give support to their families in the phase of the hardship currently experienced in the country and to thank them for their support to the current administration in the state in the past one year 

“I have come to say thank you to all of you for your support to this administration through your prayers and advice which has been tremendous”

“We have been together through throughout last year, nothing missing, nothing broken we are still together, you are still believing on what you stood for, l wish you all a very happy new year”.

She urged the women to remain united stressing that they are the bridges and that the present administration made promises,  kept to them and is ready to do even more 

The first lady advised the women to look for any trade of their choice as the government is ready to support them in which ever way that would be beneficial to them and the growth of the state since Government can not give appointment to everybody 

In her remark, the coordinator of the team, Mrs Uduak Spencer Ofem said that the women have been so blessed by the Governor and his wife maintaining that the empowerment by Mrs Otu will go a long way to help families especially during this hard times.

She averred that the women have benefited so much from this present administration because according to her, “her Excellency keep coming with different empowerment packages for women and children from time to time”.

“For us as women of this state, all we are promising is our total support for this administration” she maintained.
