Bauchi: Commissioner tasks Bogoro residents to plant trees to avert  Environmental Challenges

The Bauchi State Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Danladi Ahmed Kawule on Tuesday said that environmental challenges can be addressed by planting and nurturing more trees in the Communities.

The Commissioner, Kawule said this during the Flag-off of the 2025 annual tree planting campaign in Bogoro local government area of the state.

He emphasized on the need for people to desist from harmful environmental activities such as illegal tree felling.

Speaking during the program, the council boss of Bogoro local government, Surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi expressed his appreciation to the state governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for coming with the policy of tree planting in order to reduce environmental challenges.

The council boss, said that the policy will definitely reduce the issue of environmental challenges in the 13 ward that formed Bogoro local government, Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.

He assured the governor, senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and the state ministry for housing and environment that they are fully in support of the program.
