Zaar Youths vow to partner security agencies to combat drug abuse, stealing in Buachi

The Zaar Youths Development Association, ZAYODA, on Saturday vowed to partner security agencies in Buachi state to combat drug abuse, stealing and other crimes.
The leadership of the association organized lecture for its members and emphasized on the need for abstinence from dug and other related crimes in the community.
The program held at the Watal hotel, Tafawa-Balewa local government area of Bauchi State.
Ga’Allah Daniel who is the leader of the association said that the lecture will definitely change the lives of many people in the land.
He said that “You can imagine a youth of 18 years in this generation, will look as if he is 50 years of age, just because of the involvement in drug abuse, which is very bad.
Ga’Allah said the lecture equally addressed the issue of the high rate of divorce in the land, stealing particularly at this period of raining season, that parents are not always at home
He advised parents to continue to monitor the movement of their children in order not to be reckless in the society.
The national Youth leader of the Zaar, Ga’Allah Daniel said that they will liase with security agencies to combat the spate of drug abuse, adding that any one found guilty of drug abuse or stealing in the community will be punished.
In his part, the guest speaker of the occasion, Atiku Nummi who spoke on the theme: ‘The negative effect of consumption of drugs and other illicit substance among Zaar youths” said it leads to destruction.
Nummi said that the signs of drug and substance abuse, includes; bloodshot eyes, pupils larger or smaller than usual, change in appetite, sudden weight loss or weight gain, deterioration of physical appearance and usual smell on breath.
He said that the behavioural warning sign of drug abuse are poor work, declined in performance, financial problem, sudden change in friends, accident and trouble prone.
