Ex- Ayade’s Aide commends Otu’s 10 kms road project in Cross River

The Cross River State Governor, Bassey Edet Otu has been commended for awarding the 10kms Ikom/Obudu road rehabilitation project in cross river.
The Former aide to ex-Governor Ben Ayade on cocoa development and control,, Oscar Ofuka, gave the commendation at the weekend in Bendeghe Ekiem community, Etung local government area .

He handed over the keys of a police station he built to serve as temporary accommodation for the construction company, handling the project.
According to him, “This is my little way of supporting efforts of government and giving back to society,” Ofuka said during the handover ceremony.
Speaking on the issue, His Royal Highness, (HRH) Ntufam Abraham Asu, Clan Head of Okosoro Clan, received the keys on behalf of the construction company.
He praised Ofuka for the gesture, hailing Ofuka for “prioritizing security of the community and the welfare of those developing the community.”
The clan head who tried to address the lingering cocoa farm crisis in the area stated that the issue of cocoa allocation and obeying court orders “has always caused a crisis,”and assured that traditional rulers would work to find a resolution to guide their people.
In his remarks, chairman of the Crisis Management Committee of Mbube Blocks of Clans, Chief Moses Ndep, cautioned Bendeghe Ekiem youths against entering into cocoa farms with pending court orders.
He stressed that “the farms were genuinely allocated to farmers by immediate past administration.”
Commending the elders’ position on the matter, the traditional ruler described it as wise. “The move will address any impending crisis that relates to cocoa farming in the community,” he said
