Over 3,000 Christian worshippers flock to Delta for historic Inauguration

More than 3,000 Christian worshippers are set to attend the Christ Gospel Church of Nigeria’s inauguration ceremony in Delta State.
The event is scheduled to hold in the second week of April 2026 at Glory Land Hall, Orerokpe, Delta State.
National President of Christ Gospel Church of Nigeria, Rev Abraham Ohwotuemuho Esq., disclosed this to our correspondent in yesterday during a telephone conversation.

Other fathers of faith that will Grace the occasion includes the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), National Vice President South -South, Archbishop Emmah Gospel Isong, captain of industries, top Government functionary, opinion mulders,
“cream ‘de La cream” who will come from other states of Nigeria to join their counterparts in Delta State to converge at the ceremony.
Speaking further, the Inauguration Committee Chairman Rev Ime Johnson JP speaking on the behalf of the Sons and Daughters of Abraham said all is now set to making this epoch- making event a colourful success
He expressed his gratitude to church leaders for their support, thanking them for their roles in keeping the Pentecostal fire burning.
“We appreciate the unquenchable zeal of our fathers of faith in keeping the Pentecostal fire burning despite the numerous insecurity challenges threatening the church and the nation.” He maintained.
The ceremony will feature prominent church leaders, including His Eminence Papa Ayo Oritsejafor, OFR, who would serve as the Inauguration Officer, and Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Delta State Chapter, His Lordship, Bishop Abos Willie.
Other dignitaries expected include the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and Member Representing Okpe Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon.Chief James Augoye PhD, Council chairman for Okpe local government area, Chief Isaiah Esiovwa.
Ohwotuemuho expressed gratitude to prominent church leaders for their support, saying, “We appreciate the unquenchable zeal of our fathers of faith in keeping the Pentecostal fire burning.”

Also speaking, the Inauguration Committee Chairman Rev Dr Ime Johnson (JP), described the inauguration ceremony as a significant milestone for the church, stressing that the leadership is eager to welcome guests from different parts of the country.
He urged Christians to continue praying fervently for the nation and the church, citing 1 Thessalonians 5:17, which says, “Pray without ceasing.”
“We should continue to pray and trust that God will intervene in our nation’s affairs,” he maintained.
