“How I fought to overcome  poverty having come from poor family – Sen. Nwoye reveals

The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, under Labour Party, LP, Tony Nwoye at theNwoye weekend revealed how he fought to overcome poverty having comes from a poor family background.

Nwoye and the member representing Onitsha North/South in the Federal House of Representatives, under  labour Party, LP also Emeka made this known during a thank-you -visit to their constituents at Onitsha Federal Constituency.

He  urged the party faithful to work hard if they want to live a better life.

Nwoye said the visit to constituents was aimed at encouraging them to continue to support him and all Labour Party, LP lawmakers in the state pending when there will be change/decampment to another party which according to him may take effect from next year.

He reminded them that the items being presented to them that include, cash, bags of rice, among others were combined provisions from himself and Hon Idu, meant to support them to forge ahead especially at this Yuletide period.

In his speech, Idu, who represents Onitsha North and South Federal constituency, while speaking at the event

 which took place simultaneously, at St Andrew’s  Church hall Odoakpu and Sharon hall GRA, Onitsha, said he would not relent in supporting party faithful.

The event which drew stakeholders, ward party members of different parties and non politicians, and different religious denominations, all gathered to have their share of the bags of rice not minding that each ward was asked to present 34 members.

Idu commended the constituents for their massive  votes and pledged that from now to March, they will work on the road leading to Odumeje church and some other ones in Onitsha South.

He expressed satisfaction with the constituents for their commitment, support and loyalty in their journey so far and assured them of more support especially on developmental projects come 2026.
