Poverty:  Adamawa Govt sets to empower 240,000 Indigent citizens with cash, items

The Adamawa State Government’s poverty alleviation program, led by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has received a significant success in empowering citizens, particularly women and Youths. 

The program focuses on providing cash support, skill acquisition, and training to enable beneficiaries to start or expand their businesses.

in an exclusive interview with the director general of poverty alleviation program, Michael zir said the government provides cash support to beneficiaries, with a focus on micro-business owners and those in the informal sector.

zira also highlighted  the program offers training in various skills, including tailoring, woodwork, electrical welding, and fabrication. 

The program’s admission process is transparent, with a focus on reaching out to all citizens, regardless of their background or party affiliation.

Zira express his satisfaction on how the program has had a significant impact on the lives of beneficiaries, with many reporting improved economic circumstances.

 Some notable success stories include:”Beneficiaries have reported increased income, with some multiplying their initial investment several times over” he said

The program has enabled beneficiaries to create jobs, not only for themselves but also for others.

Further more the program has improved the livelihoods of beneficiaries, enabling them to provide for their families and contribute to their communities.

The program’s administrators urge citizens to take advantage of the opportunities provided, emphasizing the importance of hard work, self-reliance, and skill acquisition. 

They also encourage young people to consider vocational training and technical skills, which are in high demand globally.

The government plans to expand the program, with a target of benefiting 240,000 people in the coming year. The program’s success is attributed to the governor’s vision, transparency, and commitment to empowering citizens.
