Adamawa Govt. approves N26b for Infrastructure  Development

The Adamawa State government has approved over N26 billion for various projects aimed at improving roads, agriculture, and infrastructure development in the state.

The Nation’s News reports that the approval was made during a State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House in Yola, and presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The government has allocated significant funds for road construction projects, including.

Palllam Road Construction,  N3.89 billion has been approved for the construction of the 11.2-kilometre Plum Road in Michika Local Government Area.

 N6.59 billion has been allocated for additional asphalt overlay on the Mubi-Garta-Kamale Road, extending it to 17.5 kilometres.

N4.43 billion has been approved for additional asphalt overlay on the 14 -kilometre Sukur Road in Madagali.

N3.24 billion has been allocated for asphalt surfacing of the 10.3-kilometre Kishinga Road.

Agricultural Development to boost agricultural productivity, the government has approved:

N1.5 billion has been allocated for the procurement of NPK fertilizer for dry season farming.

N1.73 billion has been approved for the purchase of 22 Massey Ferguson tractors and accessories.

Other Approvals, N460 million has been allocated for the accreditation of nine academic programmes at the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Ganye.

N256 million has been approved as the 20 percent counterpart fund for the 2025 Basic Health Care Provision.

N235.6 million has been allocated as compensation for land acquired for the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi.

 N481 million has been ratified for the upgrade of the Jada water supply scheme.

N328.5 million has been approved for the purchase of a modern road sweeping truck to strengthen environmental sanitation in the state.

These investments demonstrate the government’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure growth, improving agricultural productivity, and strengthening essential services for the people of Adamawa State.

The 2025 budget, titled “A Budget of Service,” has been designed to finance all government programmes and services in the state for the upcoming financial year, with a total budget of N486.218 billion.²
