Customs comptroller, shipping expert bags meritorious awards

Comptroller Atuluku Salamatu, the Customs Area Controller of Port Harcourt Command has been recognized for her exceptional leadership and outstanding achievements.

She bagged a meritorious award at the 30th Anniversary of “Who’s Who In Igala Land as  “Best Woman of the Year” held in Abuja.

Under Atuluku’s leadership, the Port Harcourt Command achieved remarkable success with revenue raise exceptionally and her impacts in Igala Land speaks volumes. 

The awards recognized the command’s groundbreaking achievements in revenue collection, anti-smuggling, and trade facilitation and humanitarian service to her community. 

While speaking to journalists, She stressed such gathering will continue to unites the sons and daughters of Igala across the country. 

She dedicated the award to retired DCG of Customs, Ogaa of Igala Land, Chief. James Ochai

On his part, Alhaji Mohammed Sule a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Shipping and Certified Extra value Professional tasked the people of Igala on unity. 

Alhaji Sule who currently serves on the board member of several companies involved in oil and gas, maritime security, Export ND import as well as clearing and forwarding service posited touching lives is part of his career and he appreciated the gesture bestowed on him.

Other awardees include Alhaji Abubakar Adaji Achimuga a professional and financial expert in the aviation sector, Dr. Iganya Agene-Idoko an environmental geologist, Prof. Itodo Isaac a fellow of the Nigeria Academy of Engineering, among others 

Earlier, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Who’s Who in Igala Land, Chief Hilary Edime Amodu appreciated the people for honouring the event. 

He stressed that the formation of Who’s Who in Gala is primarily to enhance the existing unity in Igala Land. 

Other notable awardees include Comptroller Dera Nnadi of the Tincan Island Port Command, who received an Award for Distinctive Performance and a Certificate of Excellence for Workplace Transformation.
