NULGE applauds council Boss, Odono for combating Insecurity, endorsed him for 2nd term

The Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State has applauded the council chairman, Ikechukwu Odono for working in synergy with security agencies to combat killings, destruction of properties and other insecurity in the council.

The Nations News Nigeria reports that the leadership of NULGE in the council, led by Comrade Ifeanyichukwu Aguidu has endorsed Odono for second term in office.

Aguidu who spoke to newsmen shortly after in an event at 135, the council headquarters of Ohaukwu LGA, lauded the tireless efforts and proactive measures put in place by the council chairman, Odono to restore peace and order in the council.

He commended Odono for putting much effort in the fight against insecurity, working closely with security agencies and community leaders to address the various security challenges rocking the area.

The NULGE chairman, Aguidu emphasized on the importance of working in synergy with security agencies to combat the menace of insecurity in the council, and however expressed confidence on Odono’s leadership to totally protect lives and properties of citizens in the council.

Responding, the council chairman of Ohaukwu local government area, Chief Ikechukwu Odono expressed gratitude to NULGE for their support and reassured them of his administration’s commitment to ensure that there is adequate security in the council.

Odono said he would continue to work tirelessly with all relevant stakeholders to rid the area of criminal elements and restore peace and tranquility to the community.

“This endorsement by NULGE serves as a testament to the positive impact  initiatives in the fight against insecurity in my local government. 

“With the support of the union and the collective efforts of all stakeholders, my   government remains resolute in its determination to create a safe and secure environment for all residents”Odono said
