Road construction: How Gov. Abdulkadir saved us from hunger, insecurity in Bauchi – Titus

An admirer of Bauchi state governor’s leadership style, Joel Titus has said that the construction of roads in many communities of Bauchi state by the governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir
has saved the people from the hands of bandits, armed robbers, kidnappers and other criminal activities.

He equally attributed the reduction in the price of food items in Bauchi state, to the distribution of the second batch palliative to the people of the state by the governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.

He expressed optimism that the Bauchi state government led by governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir will definitely combat hardship in the state to the barest minimum.

Titus who made this known in an interview with our correspondent in Bauchi, said that the distribution of palliatives by the governor, Mohammed Abdulkadir to the people, was the reason why price of food items have reduced in all markets in the state.

He added that the massive distribution of the grains palliation across the nooks and crannies of Bauchi state, the number of people going to market to buy foodstuffs have been reduced significantly.

Titus who commended the Governor for the ongoing construction of roads in Lere, Marti, Sara, Gambar and Boi, noted further that before now, the communities were battling with the issues of insecurity.

He insisted that the road construction when completed, will improve the businesses of the benefitting communities.

According to him, “the benefitting communities have long been neglected in the area of road infrastructure by the previous administrations until now that Governor Bala Mohammed is giving it a sense of belonging.

“It has been long that the people in those areas was without good roads and always battling with bandits, armed robbery, kidnappers and other criminal activities”, he said.

Titus who said criminals have been taking advantage of bad roads to always attack people of the areas, expressed delight that with the intervention of the Governor, everything will come to an end.

“All the past governors of the state abandoned those areas, but with the doggedness of Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, he approved the construction of the 29km roads that worth over N11 billion”.

“Before now, we prefer to take our farm produce to markets for sell in the neighboring Plateau State, than abandon our own Bauchi State for lack of road, but with this latest development, we will be selling within the state,” he added.

Titus expressed confidence that the state government led by Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir will complete the ongoing road constructions for the betterment of lives of the people of the communities.
