The state commandant said the welfare of his personnel remained a major priority, stressing that motivated officers would be better positioned to effectively discharge their responsibilities of protecting lives and property.

“I don’t joke with the welfare of my personnel. Today, we are about to commission this place, not for the NSCDC alone, but for all other state agencies and personalities who are our partners in this business of securing lives and properties,” Nnadi said.

He disclosed that the command had commenced the training and retraining of personnel across the 13 local government areas of the state as part of preparations for the forthcoming elections.

According to him, tactical teams have also been equipped with modern facilities to enhance their readiness and effectiveness before, during and after the 2027 elections.

Nnadi further assured that the command would continue to collaborate with the state government and other stakeholders to strengthen its operational capacity and improve security across Ebonyi State.

He added that the corps remained committed to its mandate of defending the defenseless and protecting the rights of citizens.

In a related development, the Zonal Commander of the NSCDC, Nnamdi Nwanukwu, represented by Chidi Nwibe, commended Nnadi for executing the officers’ mess project.
