2027: Ex- S-East governor’s forum endorse Tinubu’s 2nd term

The forum of South East governors on Tuesday ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general election endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term re-election.
The forum comprising all the former governors in the five states of the South East region, made this known shortly after their meeting held at the Presidential lodge in Enugu State.
The spokesperson of the forum, David Umahi, the current minister of works applauded president Bola Tinubu for the inclusion of of the region in the scheme of things, especially in infrastructure among other things.

According to him: “The Forum of former governors is formed today, 7th April 2027. The body is to support our presiding governors of southeast. And advise them on key zonal and national matters.
“The forum shall be, for all former governors in respective of party affiliation, so far they have been governors’ in southeast.
“We commend the great work, that our governors of southeast are doing for the benefit of our people. We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu very highly for all the appointments he has given to people of the region.
“We also thank thr President for the assistance to the governors of the southeast and of course, indeed all governors of the country which has helped the governors of southeast in very high measures towards the great achievements they have recorded why in their various offices.
“We thank our dear governors of southeast for their commitment in the affairs of the people of southeast, especially in infrastructural development and empowerment and security.
“We boldly say that all the governors of southeast are supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election and we are very grateful for them, because this is strategic.

“And for this, we will continue to give them support to help them to educate our people On the great work they are doing for our people. That’s the outcome of our meeting today.
Those in attendance in the meeting are; Martins Elechi and David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Solivan Chime and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state.
Others are; Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state and Chris Ngige of Anambra state.
