Projects: ‘I’m ready to serve citizens of Bogoro LGA with sincerity – council chairman

Yakubu Lawi Sumi, Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, has executed more than 15 different projects in his one year anniversary in office.
The Chairman disclosed this to newsmen during the celebration of his thanksgiving service. Said that “I look forward to celebrate this milestone with you as we give thanks to God together and renew our commitment to serve humanity with sincerity and purpose”
He said that the achievements are not his effort alone, but also the contribution of the state government and the entire good people of Bogoro, the projects would have not been completed.

“This special occasion is dedicated to appreciating God’s grace, guidance, and faithfulness throughout my first year in office. It is also a time to thank the good people of Bogoro for their unwavering support and cooperation in our journey toward progress and development”
Some projects executed includes of renovation of the Chairman’s house, construction of 10 shops in Kalambu livestock market, fencing of the Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency (BAROTA), Construction of palace to the 3 village head of Bogoro, Lusa and Boi.
Others are Dutsen Lawan Bridge, purchased of 15 motorcycle to ward councillors, PA and SA, purchased of official vehicles to the office of the Chairman and his Deputy, Repaired Wash‑Long Hilux, supply of modern tractors for farming, distribution of fertiliser to farmers during raining season
While others includes of fixing of damage boreholes, provision of medical equipments to Primary Health Cares, giving scholarship to students in five of the state institutions, provision of mattresses, uniforms & tours to NYSC members been posted to the local government, organizing Peace and Unity Football Cup, Sallah and Christmas packages, Support for 2025 pilgrims, Quranic recitation contest, Security and Community Welfare .
Others projects executed in his one year in office are: provision of Sewing machines to prisoners, provision of uniforms and torch lights for boat watchmen and messengers, All staff arrears cleared, provision of Disaster and health‑education relief funds.
He said that humility and grace have proven that leadership is not about headlines, but about making space for the voiceless, and standing firm when justice calls.
The council boss call on the good people of Bogoro to continue supporting him and the administration of the state governor, senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir in other to witness more development.
