House rent hijack: Adamawa Govt. allocates 1,000 Housing Units to Civil Servants

The Adamawa State Government has announced the allocation of 1,000 housing units to civil servants and private individuals.
In an interview with the commissioner of housing and rural development, Abdullahi Adamu Prambe said the housing units are part of the government’s effort to provide affordable housing to its citizens.

The prices of the housing units range from N11 million for a three-bedroom apartment.
Prambe said 600 units will be allocated to civil servants, while 400 units will be allocated to private individuals, including political office holders and security personnel.
A 10% deposit is required for allocation, and the government aims to ensure that beneficiaries can make payments before retirement age.
The housing units are located in a well-planned estate with modern amenities, including: Perimeter fencing Ensuring security and safety for residents.
Roads, water, and electricity are provided to support the housing units.
The Adamawa State Government’s objective is to reduce the housing deficit in the state and provide citizens with access to affordable housing.
The government believes that this initiative will improve the lives of citizens and contribute to the overall development of the state.
The government has addressed concerns about the pricing of the housing units, citing the current market rate and the cost of land acquisition, construction, and other expenses.
The government assures that there is no profit margin added to the prices, and the aim is to provide affordable housing to citizens.
By providing affordable housing, the Adamawa State Government aims to improve the lives of its citizens and contribute to the overall development of the state.
