2025: Bauchi gov. Bala sacks 5 Commissioners, reappoints 8 others

The governor of Bauchi state, Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir on Tuesday sacked five Commissioners for reasons best known to him.

It was gathered that the governor, Bala equally reappointed another fresh eight commissioners to replace them.

The Nations News Nigeria reports that the names of the eight commissioner nominees have been sent by the governor, Bala to the state house of assembly for approval and confirmation.

Bala emphasized that the purpose of dropping five of his commissioners and appointing eight new ones, is aimed at strengthening his administration’s delivery of good governance.

The state governor, Bala made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Bauchi by the governor’s spokesperson, Mukhtar Gidado on Tuesday.

He said that the affected commissioners include; the Commissioner of education, Jamila Dahiru, Abubukar Abdulhameed of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Usman Danturaki of Information and Communication, Simon Madugu Yalams of Agriculture and Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza of the ministry of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation.

The governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir expressed his appreciation to the outgoing five commissioners for their dedication, service, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of Bauchi State. 

He said that their efforts have been instrumental in advancing key initiatives and policies of this administration. 

The governor wishes them success in their future endeavors, expressing confidence that they will continue to contribute meaningfully to the progress of Bauchi State and Nigeria.

While the governor senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir also forwarded the 8 names to the state House of Assembly for security clearance and subsequent confirmation as Honorable Commissioners.

The names include; Titus Saul Ketkukah from Tafawa-Balewa Local Government, Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde – Toro Local Government, Abdullahi Mohammed – Misau Local Government, Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi – Dass local Government.

Others are Usman Usman Shehu – Shira Local Government, Iliyasu Aliyu Gital – Tafawa-Balewa Local Government, Hon Adamu Babayo Gabarin  – Darazo Local Government and Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam – Toro Local Government.
