‘PDP Is ready to bounce back to power in 2027-  Ex- Ministers, Turaki, Gana

The Former  minister for Special  Duty, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) has insisted that the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party will back to power in the forthcoming 2027 general election in the country.

Turaki who is the Chairman of the electoral committee and returning officer in the just concluded Niger State Party congress, assured Nigerians that PDP is ready to reclaim its lost glory in 2027.

He  applauded party members for their resilience and unity, noting that their commitment shows the PDP is working hard to regain its strength in the state and across Nigeria.

The Congress chairman added that the party is determined to resolve its internal crises and become stronger than before.

Also, the former Minister of Information and PDP chieftain, Jerry Gana, who hails from Niger State commended the committee for conducting a credible exercise.

 According to him,  the congress was a true reflection of democracy, stressing that PDP remains the most loved political party in Nigeria because of its people-centered programmes.

“Democracy is about the will of the people, and they must be allowed to freely choose their leaders. 

“The PDP has a great chance in 2027 because Nigerians still remember the good governance we offered. When we were in power, the welfare and security of the people were our top priority,” Gana said.

The Member representing Chanchaga( Minna) Federal Constituency, Abubakar Audu Buba, also assured that the PDP will reposition itself for victory by restoring good governance and strengthening democratic principles.

The congress, which marked the end of Tanko Beji’s tenure as chairman, was witnessed by key party stakeholders including former Governor Babangida Aliyu, former Senator Zainab Abdulkadir Kure, and other caucus members.

In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Aliyu Mohammed Haladu, promised to work tirelessly to rebuild the party and ensure victory in 2027.

The newly elected  Chairman  appealed to aggrieved members to put aside their differences and join hands to strengthen the party both in the state and nationwide.

Others elected into the new state executive include:
Khadi Kuta – Secretary,Mohammed Mohammed – Publicity Secretary,Hussain Mohammed Shamsudeen – Legal Adviser.

Also elected  were Abdullahi Ibrahim – Treasurer,Jamilu Sa’idu – Financial Secretary, Solomi Abel–  Ndakotsu Women Leader,Abdullahi Tauhid – Vice Chairman, Zone A,Yakubu Idris – Vice Chairman, Zone B and Anas Garba Imam – Vice Chairman, Zone C
