The Vice Chancellor of the Modibbo Adama University, Ibrahim Umar has warned over five thousand two hundred and ninety seven matriculating students to shun all forms cultism and examination malpractice

Umar, who made this known while addressing the new students, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence and character development.

He noted that the university’s motto, “Knowledge and Humanism,” reflects its commitment to producing well-rounded graduates who are equipped to make a positive impact in society.

The Vice Chancellor announced that the university had admitted a total of 5,297 undergraduate students for the 2024/2025 academic session, across various faculties, including the College of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Engineering, among others. 

He highlighted the university’s dedication to providing a conducive environment for learning and research, urging students to make the most of the facilities and resources available to them.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of adhering to the university’s rules and regulations, warning students against cultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing, and any form of violence or fraud. 

He assured parents and guardians that the university would do its best to mold their wards into responsible, knowledgeable, and ethical members of society.

The Vice Chancellor congratulated the matriculating students on earning a place in the university and urged them to study diligently, live honorably, and aim high.

He reminded them that they are part of something greater than themselves and that their stay at the university should be fruitful and fulfilling.
