It was gathered that,  trouble started when stakeholders  from the Lakpan axis which has  eight of the fifteen ward that constitute Shiroro local government area were mandated to screen and forward three aspirant for adoption and submission to the  party and Governor Mohammed Umar Bago for the  final  selection of the preferred candidate felt short changed.

Alhaji Yakubu Justice  Kuta,  Iliyasu Zarumi and Mallam Idris Adamu speaking on behalf of other aggrieved  stakeholders accused the State Deputy Governor of  imposing one of  his aide on the people after  promising the Lamkpa  people of free hand in choosing their preferred Chairmanship candidate while the House of Assembly member has been zoned to kuta axis in 2027.

“We screened and forwarded three names as agreed,  namely,  Salihu  Beri, Audu Galadima and Salihu Madaki, but to our shock a name that was not part of the list Ibrahim Zarandi Dodo was selected as our candidate

” This is not acceptable to us because over time we have strictly adhered to our internal zoning arrangement  in the Local government,  as things stand now, we have lost out

” The State Deputy Governor,  the Commissioner from Shiroro,  the House of Assembly member and Adviser and the incumbent Local Government Area Chairman are all from Kuta axis with seven wards while we that has eight wards are left with the crumbs of just a political Director General “

” The cabal that pursued PDP out of power are gradually gathering again, if there is no compensation method then we are afraid for the party”
