Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Nigeria, as well as the bereaved family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, following his passing on Sunday in London. 

The Governor described the loss as significant to the nation, noting that President Buhari will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In a statement signed by Humwashi Wonosikou Chief Press Secretary to the Governor state that Governor Fintiri commended the late President Buhari for his unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s growth and development.

He highlighted that President Buhari’s leadership, both during his military and civilian eras, left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s history. 

His commitment to national unity, particularly during the country’s most challenging periods, including the civil war, is a testament to his statesmanship and vision for a united Nigeria.

The Governor noted that President Buhari’s contributions to Nigeria’s development, especially in areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, and security, are notable. 

He emphasized that President Buhari’s efforts to promote stability and democracy in the country will not be forgotten.

Governor Fintiri particularly extended his heartfelt condolences to Aisha Buhari, the wife of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, who is a proud daughter of Adamawa State. 

He urges her to take courage and bear the loss with the knowledge that she is not alone in her grief. 

He prays that Allah grants her the strength to navigate this difficult period and that the family finds solace in the memories of their beloved patriarch.

Governor Fintiri prayed, “May Allah grant the late President Muhammadu Buhari Aljanatu Firdaus, and may his legacy continue to inspire future generations of Nigerians. May God comfort the family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
