insecurity: Troops kill 7 Bandits In Bauchi

The joint task force (JTF) has neutralized seven bandits during gun fire in Gwana district, Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

This was contained in a press release signed by the spokesman of the police command Nafiu Habib, who made it available to journalists of the state.

The press statement read “Unfortunately, as a result of the attack, two soldiers attached to 33 Artillery Brigade, Bauchi and a vigilante paid the supreme price during the encounter. Three members of the affected community were also abducted  and about seven bandits were neutralized by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Police (AKU) during the gun duel”

He said that sec security forces have been deployed to restore order, protect displaced civilians, and prevent further attacks.

He added that the state police commissioner, Sani-Omolori  Aliyu assured the good people of the state that monitoring and intelligence gathering are ongoing to track and arrest the fleeing assailants and rescue victims.
