Gov. Bala urges FG to establish life insurance schemes for security personnel in Nigeria

The governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir on Thursday urged the federal government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and state governors across the country to establish life insurance schemes for the security personnel.

He emphasized that the security personnel deserve life insurance schemes considering their indispensable role in safeguarding peace and stability of Nigeria.

Bala made this known during the launching of the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem Week, held at the Bauchi State Government House. 

He stated that the contributions of the fallen heroes to the states and the country will not be forgotten. 

The governor, Bala reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of his administration to support the families of the fallen heroes.

The governor, Bala further announced the donation of ₦10 million to them.

He also paid tribute to the sacrifices of the ex-service men and women, assuring them that their contributions to the nation’s unity will never be forgotten.

“The Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem Week remains a significant occasion to honor our heroes and support their families, a cause. 

“I remain deeply committed to. We will continue to uphold the safety and welfare of our people.

Earlier in a remark, the Acting Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Captain Garba Itas, expressed his appreciation to the governor for providing a permanent office for the Legion in Bauchi State.

He pledged their continued loyalty and cooperation with the administration of the state governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.
