According to him, a total of 174,514 voters were successfully accredited, while the same number of votes were cast during the exercise, reflecting what he described as impressive participation by party members.

Declaring the final results, Williams announced that Governor Ahmedu Umaru Fintiri polled 16,579 votes to secure victory and clinch the APC ticket for the Adamawa Northern Senatorial District ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Other aspirants who participated in the contest recorded significant votes. Buba Kwacham garnered 6,958 votes, while Hamisu Maidugu secured 6,977 votes.

The Returning Officer further disclosed that results from all five local government areas were duly submitted by designated representatives before being collated at the party’s secretariat in Mubi prior to the official declaration.
