APC Senate Primaries: Incumbent Senators, Udende, Zam Losses Ticket In Benue

The former governor of Benue State, Senator Gabriel Suswam and the husband of Secretary to Benue State Government husband, Assistant Comptroller of Customs(rtd) Benjamin Aber have won the tickets for Benue North East and North West Senatorial districts also known as Zone A and B of the State respectively.
Sen. Suswam defeated the incumbent Sen. Emmanuel Udende in Zone A while Aber beat the serving senator Titus Zam in Zone B.
The results as announced by the Chief Returning officer Senatorial District committee for Zone A Barr Michael Tyo at the All Progressives Congress, APC Secretariat showed that Suswam garnered 131,083 votes, Sen Udende scored 1,364 while son of late Wantaregh Paul Unongo Fidelis Unongo got 865.

The Chief Returning officer, Senatorial District committee for Zone B John Ihembe equally announced that Benjamin Aber pooled a total of 93,412 votes to defeat Sen Titus Zam who scored 2,763 votes.
For Benue South Senatorial District(Zone C), the returning officer, Barr Peter Sani Ochijele announced that former house of representatives member for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo federal constituency, Francis Agbo scored the highest vote of 58,760 to defeat his closest rival Gabriel Agidani who got 5,246.
Ratifying the results, Chairman, National Assembly Primary Election Committee for Benue State, Alh. Sabiu Saidu Mahuta declared and returned Suswam as the Senatorial candidate for Benue North East as well as Benjamin Aber as duly returned as the candidate of APC for Benue North West Senatorial district for the 2027 general elections.
Alh. Mahuta also, returned Francis Ottah Agbo with 58,760 votes to defeat Daniel Onjeh who got 4570 votes.
He urged aggrieved aspirants to aporoach the Appeal Panel with their petitions not less than 24 hours after the declaration, restating that the contest should be seen as brotherly affair that will strenghten the party ahead of the general election.
Speaking to newsmen after his declaration as winner of the Benue North West Senatorial District primary, Aber vowed to strengthen the party structure ahead of the 2027 election, boasting that APC will have a landslide victory at the 2027 election.

He stressed that his vision would be to ensure eradication of poverty and lack of infrastructure amongst the rural people,
Said he, “I will ensure that the rural people feel the impact of democracy”.
