Bogoro Council Boss, Sumi distributes motorcycles to councilors, others

The chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Yakubu Lawi Sumi, has donated 15 brand new Bajaj motorcycles to all the 13 Ward Councilors in the council and his Personal Assistants, Special Adviser to enable them reach out to the people in the grassroots.
This was made known when a delegation of councilors led by its leader, Gwandah Simon known as Gatan Kowa, paid an appreciation visit to the Chairman, at his local government Secretariat office.
Lawi Sumi, who applauded the councilors for the visit, explained that the gesture was in reciprocation of their support to his leadership to empower the people of the area.
He thanked the councilors for always supporting him and urged them to sustain the tempo, appealing for prayer for continued wisdom, strength and knowledge.
The council boss advised them to always promote unity and interest of the people of Bogoro Local Government Area to fast track progress and development.
Gwandah Simon, who represents Bogoro C Ward, explained that the visit was to express their appreciation for the gift.
He said that the motorcycles would definitely make their work smooth and easy.

He assured the Chairman on behalf of the Ward councilors that they would make good use of the motorcycles for the development of Bogoro.
Gwandah Simon opined that the Bogoro councilors have no reason to fail as they have mobility that would enable them to reach out to people of the area and meet their needs.
The councillors leader, Honorable Gwandah Simon promised that his colleagues would continue to support the Chairman of Bogoro LGA and the State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed to move the state forward.
Stakeholders that graced the occasion of the distribution were the chief whip of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Wakili Musa Nakwada member representing Bogoro constituency, the former Bauchi State commissioner of water resources, Barrister Jidauna Tula Mbami, Governor Bala’s adviser on Christian Religious Affairs, Pastor Zakka Luka Magaji, Ishaya Dangana.
Other stakeholders are permanent secretary ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs, Mrs Saratu Musa Jibrin, the immediate Chairman of the local government, Markus Bitrus Lusa, Elisha Tula Gwamis, Haruna Mandabson, Hassana Arkila, Comfort Yassan, Para Simon known as (Lola) and others.
