Bauchi Govt vows to ensure timely completion of road projects

The Bauchi State Government, has handed over three new tacoma vehicles to the Project Management Consulting Committee for the supervision, monitoring of roads construction standard, timely completion across the state.
Performing the handover, at the Abubakar Umar Secretariat, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Transport, Muhammad Hamisu Garba said that the provision of the vehicles will definitely make the work of the committees very fast and easy.
Garba said that the ministry also provided office accommodation and other logistics to support the committee’s operations.

The permanent secretary said that the committee, made up of 40 members, is charged with ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within approved cost, and according to established standards.
While the committee’s expressed their appreciation to the state government and the ministry for the gesture and pledged to make judicious use of the vehicles.
They assured that the confidence reposed in them will be justified through diligent monitoring and effective oversight of all ongoing and future projects.
