Abia: PDP Ward executives dump party, declare support for ex-deputy speaker, Ndukwe

The entire executive committee members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Item ward C, Bende local government area of Abia state have resigned from the party.
Their resignation was disclosed in a letter addressed to the chairman of the PDP in Bende Local Government Area, and copied to the Abia chairman and Acting National chairman of the party.
The PDP ward executive members led by the chairman, Francis Eke Okoye, cited the activities and dis-orderliness in the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, as the reason behind their action.
They also hinged their latest action in support of their leader and former presidential aspirant in the PDP, Cosmos Ndukwe, who recently resigned his membership from the party.
The letter read in full: “The entire executive of Peoples Democratic Party, Item ward C had in a meeting held at the Party secretariat and some stakeholder’s of PDP in Item ward C resolved as follows.
“That we have observed with dismay the activities and dis-orderliness in the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party.
“That we hereby declare our overt confidence and support for our leader, Cosmos Ndukwe, who just resigned his membership from the party.
“We therefore tender our resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party in support of our leader, Cosmos Ndukwe.
“We thank the local government leadership, State and National for the opportunity given to us” they stated.
