The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Ebonyi State chapter, Stanley Emegha on Monday urged the sixty three development centre coordinators and management member committees, not to give excuses, but must make governor Francis Nwifuru to win in the 2027 gubernatorial election.
He made this known while addressing the 63 development centre coordinators and a mammoth turnout of supporters who stormed the APC secretariat to purchase nomination and expression of interest forms for the governor.
The Nations News reports that the Coordinators, equally endorsed governor Francis Nwifuru’s second-term ambition, raising N50 million to support the purchase of nomination and expression of interest forms.

The donation, made under the aegis of ‘Ebonyi Forum of Coordinators’, and presented to the state party chairman, Emegha at the APC state secretariat in Abakaliki.
The state chairman, Emegha said: “We know you have the competence, and we know you have the voter privilege. To compete with other political parties.
“The governor, Francis Nwifuru has confidence in your ability to deliver.Know it now, that the responsibility is in your hands to ensure that the governor is re-elected to complete his 8years.
“It is in your mind, it is in your soul, it is not only a matter of law,it is a matter of action, action for all citizens.
“It is time to deliverAPC.I want to tell you on our own.We will never tolerate excuses.Excuses are not on our agenda.”You cannot after an election, you will come and give us any excuse here. That excuse you will give us, start now. It is not only buying a form for the governor.
“The party greatly appreciates your coming to pay for the expression of interest form, and the nomination form for the governor’s re-election.
“Every other person that has come here paid for the nomination form. But the governor declined from that day the nomination forms.”But, you have come to pay for an expression form. That expression means, whether the governor wants it or not, you are forcing him to come back and complete his second tenure.
“The governor will also want you to go for a second term, but you must deliver him in the 2027 general election. You must show good results. We will not, and we will never, entertain any excuses” he stated
Earlier in a remark, the forum’s Chairman, Chidi Ogbonna, described the contribution as both symbolic and strategic, reflecting widespread approval of the governor’s performance across rural communities.
Ogbonna, who also serves as the Coordinator of Ominyi Development Centre in Izzi Local Government Area, said the decision followed what he called “measurable and people-oriented governance outcomes” recorded by the administration.
“We are here to demonstrate solidarity with the governor and reaffirm our confidence in his leadership.

“As coordinators at the grassroots, we interface directly with the people and can attest that the dividends of democracy are visible and impactful across hinterland communities,” he said.
He added that, beyond the financial support, the forum had activated its mobilisation structures across wards and polling units to galvanise voter turnout and secure victory for the governor and the APC in 2027.
Responding, the chairman of the endorsement planning committee, Ejike Agbo, who is also the Coordinator of Ohaukwu Development Centre, said the endorsement signalled early consolidation of grassroots political structures in support of the incumbent administration.
He added that the development highlights growing political alignments within the state, as stakeholders begin positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
