Unlocking Nasarawa’s Potential: Coalition of youths. beckon Osana for Governorship in 2027

Nasarawa state is one of the top states in the federation that is endowed with abundant mineral resources, including solid minerals like granite, lithium, marble and baryte.

However, the state’s mineral potential remains largely untapped. To unlock this potential, Nasarawa needs a leader with the charisma and vision to attract investments, create jobs, stimulate economic growth and build capacity.

The State is losing significant revenue due to its untapped mineral resources. For instance, Nasarawa state generates over N1 billion monthly from solid mineral royalties, ranking the 4th among states in Nigeria.

The amount could be higher if its mineral resources were fully exploited with charismatic leader like Osana Odonye  as the state Governor. 

Speaking on Odonye’s credibility, a youth leader Mr Agah Abubakar said he will inspire and motivate the people to work towards the common goal of unlocking the state’s resource endowment. 

According to him with his global disposition, Odonye can deploy his leadership drive to attract foreign direct investments showcasing Nasarawa’s mineral potential among others and creating a favorable business environment.

He can attract investors and companies endowed with strong financial and capital assets to the state while also building partnerships with international organizations, governments, and private companies to develop Nasarawa’s mining capacity and more.

When voted by the masses as Governor, Odonye can be a source of inspiration and motivation to the people of Nasarawa.

His intellectual leadership and strategic vision in planning, managing and supervising the state endowment can create the drive and sense of ownership for the state’s mineral resources, leading to increased economic activity and growth.

As Nasarawa state prepares for the 2027 governorship elections, a new wave of leaders are emerging to shape the state’s future for another four years. Odonye stands as one whom the ‘cap fits’ for the job among aspiring personalities cutting across various party platforms. 

Odonye, a visionary executive and dynamic economist with a proven track record in macroeconomic, structural and public policy issues, and extensive experience in program works.

With over 20 years of cognate experience in national, regional and multilateral institutions and his strong links and deep knowledge of issues facing Africa, he has the ability and gravitas to unbolt Nasarawa’s potential and drive economic growth, improve infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life for the people.

Odonye’s vision for Nasarawa is built on the principles of sustainable development, inclusivity and economic empowerment.

He aims to diversify the state’s economy by investing in key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and solid minerals conforming with his plans for reducing Nasarawa’s dependence on federal allocations and creating sustainable potentials for economic growth.

In terms of Improving infrastructure, Odonye is committed to upgrading the state’s infrastructure, including roads, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions, to attract investments and improve manpower for enhanced quality of life.

He is poised  as a technocrat to enhance access to education and healthcare beyond Governor Sule Abdullahi’s accomplishments by investing in education,  healthcare and rural development. 

Odonye aims to equip Nasarawa citizens with the skills and knowledge needed to compete in the global economy and enjoy good health and well-being.

Odonye’s cognate experience in multilateral institutions has equipped him with the skills and knowledge needed to drive economic growth and development in Nasarawa state. He worked with several organizations such as the International Monetary Fund, the UN-Food and Agriculture Organization and key African 

affiliates such as the Africa Regional Agricultural Credit Association, and the ECOWAS’ West African Monetary Institute. He has extensively engaged with the World Bank and the African Development Bank among others, gaining valuable experience in public policy and development finance.

The technocrat has expertise in sustainable energy solutions, which can be leveraged to supply affordable and reliable energy to citizens and businesses in Nasarawa state.

The grassroots clamour and massive calls by the youth and elites for Osana Odonye to wear the cap for Nasarawa Government House come 2027 is indeed phenomenal and will usher in a new era of leadership for the state.
