2027: New PDP caretaker committee vows to make party win election in Ebonyi

The leadership of the new caretaker committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State has vowed to rejig the party and ensure that it wins election in the forthcoming general election in the country.
The state caretaker committee chairman of the party, Mr. Ekuma Emmanuel made this known while addressing newsmenn during in a mathe state.
He expressed happiness over the overwhelming support the committee has received from party leaders and members.
He assured party members that the Caretaker committee is ready and committed to ensuring that it discharged its mandate and properly situates the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to him, “ We are here today to dialogue, interface and draw strength and inspiration from you, so that we can succeed in this task.
“We, therefore, will be calling on all of us here to be open-minded; frank, but respectful; direct but measured in making our contributions and suggestions for the way forward.”
He however applauded the leader of the party in the state and the 2023 governorship candidate of the party, “our leader, the 2023 governorship candidate of our party, Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, a man that has proven again and again that his motivation is the welfare and progress of the people of Ebonyi State.
“He is a man who has dedicated his time and resources to carry the weight of everyone, a man of good intentions, he has remained a pillar of support even in the most difficult times.” Ekuma emphasized.
It was gathered that leaders and major stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State has vowed to support and work in solidarity with the newly appointed Caretaker Committee of the party in the state.

In a “critical stakeholders” meeting held in Abakaliki, the party leaders thanked the National Working Committee of the party for appointing the Caretaker Committee led by Barr. Ekuma Emmanuel sayin that the move has restored hope and cohesion in the party in the state.
The meeting which attracted leaders of the party from the 13 Local Government Areas of the state had in attendance, the Southeast National Vice Chairman of the party, Chidiebere Goodluck Egwu, the 2023 Deputy governorship candidate of the party, Senator Paulinus Igwe Nwagu.
Others are; the former Acting National Secretary of the PDP, Onwe S. Onwe, a former Deputy National Youth Leader, John Igboke, the 2023 Director General of Ebonyi State PDP Campaign, Autin Edeze, former governorship, National Assembly and State House of Assembly aspirants among others.
In their separate remarks, Senator Paulinus Igwe Nwagu said that with the “appointment of the Caretaker Committee, the PDP in Ebonyi State is now ready to rebuild its house.”
The senator emphasized that the “PDP cannot die” noting that it is now clear that through leadership of the party has finally arrived.
Also, the Southeast NVC thanked the National Secretary of the PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu for being a good ambassador of the Southeast
The PDP National Working Committee in a letter signed by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Hon Umar Bature announced the appointment of a 13-man Caretaker led by Barr. Ekuma Emmanuel, Chairman and Moses Idika, Secretary.
Others members of the committee are, Chief Christopher E Ngwuta, Chief Godwin O Nwode, Barr Ugochukwu Obasi, Engr Odanwu E Ifeanyi, Barr Lawson Chukwu, Chief Matthew Nkwegu, Igboke Chukwuma, Mr Adiele A Okoro,Engr. Francis Kalu, and Hon Muhammad I Oken, Augustine Ezike.
